Hi! My name is Rusty. I am the official camp dog! The worst day of my life turned out to be the very best. I was just a very young dog when I was dumped out and left alone. I know it was God who led me here. I was immediately taken in, loved, and it has been wonderful ever since. My duties consist of keeping the squirrels, cats, and UPS trucks at bay. I love racing camp vehicles, playing in the creek and eating ice cream. I attempted to go to chapel and keep the children and teens alert, happy, and laughing but these days I have to wait in the house until chapel is finished because I am called a distraction, whatever that is?
You might ask what my favorite time of the year is: Camp Time! My jaws hurt because I am grinning so big when all of you campers are here! I am a master at snatching a bag of chips or a bottle of water and then running while all of you try to catch me.
I challenged a big bull elk one day and that was almost more excitement than I could stand. Those big guys can really run fast and had it not been for my quick changes of direction I might have really gotten the point that he did not like my barking.
Hey! I have a great idea! Why don't you come to camp? We can run and play, eat snacks and maybe I could even get you to scratch my ears!!
I'll be looking for you! I almost forgot, you don't have to worry about the squirrels; I keep them all in the trees.
