Minnetonka Christian Camp is a place, set apart, for the purpose of feeling God's Spirit. It has been a place to feel the spirit since 1956 when the camp was founded. It has continued, without interruption these 52 years. Minnetonka is fashioned and adorned by our Heavenly Father. He uses hews of reds, yellows, purples and every shade of green in the spring and summer. |
In the autumn the colors transform into gold, vibrant reds and burgundy. If that weren't enough God has placed every color and shade of bird, from the smallest hummingbird, to blue herons, egrets, owls, the mighty bald eagle, and everything in between. For humor He placed otters in Peale Creek. Beavers can be seen on a regular basis as they make their way up and down this beautiful water way. Catfish, bass, crappie, and perch are caught by the most inexperienced angler. For sheer enjoyment elk and deer can be seen as they peacefully graze around the camp. Life takes on a new excitement when the vans, and buses roll into camp and the campers step off. Then God's plan of reaching the children, youth, and adults is revealed. Tens of thousands of lives have been changed here at Minnetonka.
